Needless to say, if I had accurate charts (position not comments, I could care less about the latter) to work with, my video time would be reduced significantly and I could play many more races/tracks.
It's simple enough to chart a race (even without the technology mentioned above) UNTIL the penultimate split, where, in most cases, the camera is focusing on the leaders, and, I suppose, the angle for the chartmaker is changed. This is why, especially at NYRA tracks, a good majority of the charts show horses GAINING the last split when they've backed up the split before it. The HUMP chart, if you will. EQUIBASE is not embarrassed by this; NYRA isn't either (and the other tracks follow suit).
I think it's time for each track to have one of its tech support people SCREEN CAPTURE from the video at the splits and then post the results on their site. They need to do it, as they have the multiple angles necessary for this. Then again, LRL and NYRA don't have enough zooms lens fcameras and they probably wouldn't want to invest in a wide angle. Why would they when very few give a **** about accuracy, just as long as their figures (based on this flawed data) are posted on time.

it wont happen they "the tracks" are happy..why would they care about it..they dont care about the player..or the horsmen..
