At the time, 5:00 a.m., I considered it, but my friend said the 101 was closed due to the Montecito fire. I didn't feel like driving all the way out there "just in case." I later learned I could have.
I've been told the 5 is now open, so a 2:30 a.m. exodus is now planned.
