BUT, he could still be a failure. one in ten-that doesn't mean one in ten good ones. a lot of horses with huge potential were absolute duds, and racetrack prowess does nothing for their second career.
look at where the bid ended up for one, alysheba is another. no givens, and not much time to prove themselves. he either shows early promise, or he'll get sold and shipped off.
Bid did some nice work on the broodmare side . And there are no guarantees that any foal, from any sire, will be a winner . A good horse can come from anywhere . Especially if this game can create a level playing field, finally . uh, hopefully.
