Crap?? This is the way it is homie, are you telling me that all the people who watch NFL or College teams are only watching because they have action. I know there is a lot of action going on, but you do not understand how high the viewership numbers are, and 90% or higher are not gambling on the games.
The people who watched that game watched because it WAS THE ONLY sporting event on TV at that time.

ESPN's horseracing coverage barely does either. To be honest Fox's baseball broadcasts arent that much better but at least they dont use blimp shots while guys are running the bases.

I actually kind of like the overhead shots of the races. It gives me another angle that I normally do not get to see when watching TVG or the feeds at the OTB.
