I've given up on Vacare. I had high hopes for her after her three-year-old season, but she's done nothing but disappoint me since.

It's not really debatable that Mauralakana had a significantly worse trip than Dynaforce in the Flower Bowl. Why wouldn't Dynaforce have "accelerated away" from Mauralakana? Soft course or no, that was Dynaforce's best chance to beat Mauralakana, and she took advantage. Good for her, but I don't see a remotely similar setup materializing in this race.
