It will be interesting how this plays out. I have no idea about the public sentiment in GB towards Favre, but my guess is that they will still embrace him when the time comes to retire #4. But I do know in NY that Tiki Barber was adored by Giants fans for many many years. He single handily took the Giants to the playoffs one season and was loved by everyone. Then he decided to retire and go on TV and rip/criticize people in the organization. He became public enemy #1. He only talked trash on TV, could you imagine if he gave tips to the Eagles or Cowboys? This whole situation is going to come down to what the Packers organization wants to do. Whether they want to fan the flames and turn this into a real story/fire and jepordize whatever legacy Favre has left in GB. Or do they just let it die (which I think they will do) and set it up for Brett to sign a one day contract and retire his #4 in GB, get a job in the front office and everyone will live happily ever after.
