I look at it this way: they're trying to expand their business and not doing it very smoothly. I know there will be some dilution of the product, but maybe in a few years we'll wonder what all the fuss was about (if they are successful).

I still haven't figured out the Cushion Track, or PolyTrack, or Tapeta, let alone the Pro-Ride. But I'm still going to bet it, because there are opportunities to bet good horses at long odds.

Churchill Downs has the Oaks on Friday and the Derby on Saturday. Breeders' Cup is trying to keep the same format in an expanded mode. I think Friday (Ladies' Day) will probably be less crazy, so I may go that day, and bet online on Saturday. Even though I live in Southern California and could go both days without too much problem (except for my dislike of crowds).
