If they knew about it from the start, they would have given him a few more months to let it heal. Instead they brought him back and trained him for a couple months and then had to turn him out again.

Anyway, since he came back the second time, everything has been going great. The horse has looked perfect. they were looking forward to him running for several more years. Assuming that he just has a lung infection, I would expect him to fully recover and to race for several more years.
