What we need right now is a male pitcher who can get 3 outs. I can guarantee you we are gunna collect them during the off-season.
You see, you can't have pitchers that give up 2 hits in 7 innings going unrewarded. That's simply a recipe for disaster. Your starters go out to start games without the confidence they need to have. They must be rewarded for good work, or it's gunna get ugly very quickly. This team, and the Angels, are the two teams that are most justified in carrying multiple closers. They have the starters to give them control over other teams offense, but they have poor offense themselves(especially the Dodgers.) That means they will have games like yesterday(2-1 Dodgers in the 9th.) This is simply poor management(not having a legit closer to back up Saito.) They relied on this piece of **** called Broxton. They were incorrect. We have a collection of dumb Italians here. A dumb Italian manager, and a dumb Italian G.M. You could say they relied on Kuo as a possible 3rd closer. That would be another incorrect back up, because the individual is another unreliable slot machine. He doesn't choke, but his control is not that good. A choker, and a Lefty without good enough control to keep baserunners off the bases in the clutch. Neither has the reliable awesome breaking pitch necessary to get the last out of the game. Together, they have 11 saves, and 9 blown saves. Saito has 17 saves, and 3 blown saves. 20 times these two have been given leads, and been asked to get 3 outs. Only 11 times(55%) have they given the Dodgers the win. In the same exact situation, Saito had 17 wins. There are 6 extra losses there. Ask any Dodger fan before the season and they would tell you Broxton is a woman, or half woman. So, for them to simply rely on this turd is a management failure. The G.M. of this team has the brain of a donkey.
