Default Is There A Lesson From Travers Day...?

I'm just curious about the group's results on "Big Days". As much as I look forward to these major racing days and the fields, I tend to do much worse than normal and I'm not sure why. Obviously, racing fate was involved yesterday, e.g. the breakdowns that probably led to the bombs in the early turf race, but I wonder if handicappers should assume a greater level of chaos on these days?

More evenly matched horses, greater potential for pace duels, more horses contesting at the head of the stretch?

I know the "old hands" will say "duh...of course you do" but I just wondered if any of you fundmentally change your handicapping approach on these premier days.

Thanks...... I/L
