You are right, we should change the name to Failadelphia. Im sure you know all to well the inner workings of this cities sports teams and are feeling helpless at times just like we all do. Its a tough job to have, being a sports fan from this region.
I was at teh Eagles-Bucs game (last game at the Dump, I mean Vet), you honestly could hear a pin drop once Barber had that pick 6. Then the Carlolina disgrace, when we made Ricky Manning Jr. look like the next coming of Prime Time. (my second boxer's fracture stemming from this loss.) Its sooo frustrating watching year in and year out, having a good, but not great team, esp. since we had teh cap room to make some serious moves. But Lurie and Big Red always put us in the position to get to the playoffs, not necessarily a championship calibur team, but a good enough team to take us to the top of the rollercoaster. Talk about futlility...
As for the Phils, as Scuds witnessed last night, they are the laughing stock of teh NL. With the POTENTIAL fierpower we have, we should not be barely holding on to the NL East, we should be leaving these teams in the dust. But we are not and we never will. William Penn is looking down on us with a big grin saying I told you so.
I feel bad for my dad and other long time fans that have been put through this living hell. I'm surprised they come back year after year. (my dad, from watching so many games, can tell you in the first 5 minutes of the Eagles game, whether or not we are going to win or not. Its a sick trait that seems to never fail) and dont get him started on 'Fat Andy'. I love him and both him and my uncle can't stand him. It makes for some SERIOUS arguments at family functions.
With that said. take a trip to Vegas and get those odds for the Birds to win the NFC

. This is our bounce back year and no other team really looks scary in the NFC. This is the year to make the wager on us to get back to, not win, the Bowl.
