To the original topic...how many of you that prefer online wagering have a family at home? I think that would change the answer considerably. To me a trip to the OTB at Southland Greyhound park involves an afternoon of hanging out with friends, something that family men don't get enough of. I play online occasionally, but I get excited when I'm at the track or OTB in person.

I agree with the "southern KY hillbillies are pretty pathetic" portion of your statement. I have never seen so many people stand in line and handicap at the window. I really love the ones that get to the window, turn around and look at one of the TV screens, and spit out about 50 trifecta combinations to the teller. My friend told one of them to go play the lottery if he wanted to do that (in not-so-friendly terms

).
I am lucky in that my wife will let me have plenty of days to go to the track with my friends. She has also been cool enough to let us get together at my house and bet online all day and play poker at night. She is definately a keeper!
