Economy is not good. Simple as that. A ton of gambling money is simply going into the pockets of oil companies. If you have to pay more to fill up your tank it comes out of things like gambling dollars. People still gamble, just not as much.
Throw in the worst group of 3yr olds and older horses ever assembled and there isn't much reason to watch horse racing right now.
When does football season start?
Hopefully some star 2yr olds will emerge at Saratoga. Tough to get excited for the Travers or Whitney with the projected fields.
The race of the meet at Saratoga should be the Forego if Fabulous Strike and Benny the Bull both show up.
