It's an inaugural race designed as part of the BC Dirt 'Marathon' Series and was only conceived and added to the schedule about 6 weeks ago. Tough for trainers to plan for this 'spot' in that scenario. Sal Sinatra was actually lucky to get the six. It looked like 5 a day before he took entries.
