I can't comment on today's race, as I didn't even see the pps, but he sure benefited from a slow pace in the Mike Lee.

Actually, Tin Cup Chalice ran a pretty good race yesterday. Turning for home, it looked like Almighty Silver had dead aim on him, and he turned back the challenge to win by a comfortable margin.
The field was not the strongest, with the upper-tier NY-breds Giant Moon, Icabad Crane and Big Truck recovering from their respective Triple Crown efforts. It'll be interesting to see if any of them show up for the Albany. If so, he'll get a much better challenge.
