Walked 15 minutes or hitch hiked. The latter was a great way to get around back then and if not for all the looneys we could save a bundle of money on gasthat way. In Jr. High I hitch hiked all over the city and was my first mode of transportation to the track. I never had one bad experience except the time a van passed and someone stuck there hand out the window as it went by at 30 mph. I though it would be fun to slap it as it went by
...bad move and it hurt like hell!
One I even got picked up in a Rolls Royce.
