I thought he looked a little off. He didn't look as regal or "confident", and almost looked a little dull to me. Just my opinion. There was however a (short
) time during the race that I thought his stride lengthened and he got in a really nice rhythm.
not an excuse. just an observation of the post parade from the feed. The most I ever thought of him was "king of the 2yo milers", and he ended up doing better today in terms of finish position than I thought he would. However, the race was poor of quality and 2nd place doesn't really say a whole lot. Wish he could have won. Hope he still runs in the Derby - could take 10 or 15-1 money.
