Well, I reckon if you are successful in life, and make enough money that you can be a race horse owner. I already own a horse (could sell him buy a racehorse, but I love him too much), and need to have a solid career before I invest in the racehorses. I could easily go into racing partnerships right now, but don't want to because I want to be able to make decisions over my investments.

Yearlings, two year olds, semantics. The point is that most of these horses are too rich for even a successful person to purchase. Do you plan on being so successful that you would have $200,000 to spend on one horse? Can you answer that with a yes and actually believe it?
And furthermore a high number of them don't even make it to the races, much less break their maidens. It's a horrible investment if you don't have at least eight figures in the bank.
