No.. As I mentioned in the blurb, I doubt whether Mott really was looking for much. He gave him a full month, five weeks in fact, off the Jackpot, and only gave him a half mile and three moderate 5f breezes after that. A race is worth 5 workouts, and since he's already a GSW and multiple GSP, there's no harm in an ordinary performance in a listed stake. Tampa is famous as a place where horses leave fitter than they arrived. If he's blah next time, I'd get concerned.

He has to 'get faster' yet too, so I'd look for Mott to begin to try to sharpen his speed this next period before the FL Derby or whatever he's pointed toward. May end up as too slow when it's all said and done, but being out of an AP Indy mare, he should continue to improve with maturity and added distance.

(As a proviso on all this, the one thing that I wondered about with Z Humor from the get-go was the $240k KEE price. That said something wasn't 100% with him as a yearling since the DistHumor's average had to be twice that and his fee is $300k. Hope it doesn't turn out that Mott has already gotten what he can from him.)
