I wish I could dig up the old threads when Ghostzapper was finally retired last year. I believe even the most ardent Euro supporters (big_papa) named him as the greatest dirt horse since Spectacular Bid. Now, off two starts, Bernardini is better? You cannot be serious.
Like Doc Fager said....if we're talking soundness, sure, to this point in his career, Bernardini wins that competition, but really....the best in a long, long time? Are you ready to put Bernardini in whose category? Affirmed? Spectacular Bid? Cigar? Really, what do you mean by long, long time. That's an awfully bold use of superlative in describing what could be a two race wonder.
