McPeek is a "solid" trainer. I am not scared of his horses suddenly showing dramatic improvement. Seems to run to form.
pace scenario: Will Portobello Road "inherit" the easy lead ?
Cornelio Velasquez will posture for the lead out of the gate with Dr. Pleasure, but I don't think he is going to go out in an early duel if Joe Bravo shows any initiative.
Portobello Road actually finished half-decent in his last two races at a mile.
Rene Douglas is not exactly a speed jockey, but he could have a chance to force the issue with Bullet Rain. The track condition will play a role as well.
