Hey guys- happy ending (for the moment)-
So, a good friend of mine and her girlfriend emailed this morning and said they'd drive from Flint to come get him and care for him while we try to find him a home. It means I'll have to start over with rescue orgs in Michigan, but whatever; I don't care if I have to start in Tibet; he'll be okay for a while.
I hate that once again, he has to lose the people he's been trusting, but it's better than the street. He took to us so fast, though, that I'm hopeful he'll transfer his affections easily to his new family.
And I'll still be there long distance- I told my friends to take him for shots and neutering and I'll pay for it. And if it doesn't work out, I guess I'll be taking a road trip to take him and try to find him someplace in NY.
