Day 3
Race 1
4 Sweet Paprika 6-1 Patrick/Bourke/Hoo looks well placed
2 Morethanamiricle 8-1 Ziadie - Tampa - 40% 1st w/trainer (70 horse sample; $2.99ROI)
11 Mauvais’ Coyote 5-2 Should have uncontested lead early
Race 2
3 Devil Slam 2-1 Regally bred Grand Slam sees real dirt for the first time; works decent, should be the best despite layoff
12 Lightning Point 6-1 Point Given out of a mare that has produced Valid
Lightning (217,800), Valid Forbes (401,500) and Pharmstar (160,000)…head scratcher that she’s not any better, but good enough here
11 Galaxy Wind 3-1 Cibelli on the drop from 35 and the cutback turf to dirt
Race 3
12 Magic Kipper 6-1 trainer Debbie Artz surprised with Regal Diamond on Saturday, getting the place award at 22-1… another that hasn’t seen competition since last meet, but should have this one ready - dropping from 25 to 5 after a year off might be a red flag though
1 Mud Shark 8-1 Hoo shipper in top form; just necked out last 2
11 Island Sky 3-1 Classiest of the bunch; probably gets bought here
7 Tricks of Gold 5-2 6yo off since last Feb; working lights out though and Ron Allen 24% off the long layoff
Race 4
9 Jezreeh 6-1 Quick turnaround out of 16k N2L opening day, race didn’t take anything from her, should be a better fit here
6 Fluffy’s Girl 12-1 toss last; right in this Suf shipper’s wheelhouse
8 Triple Treat 12-1 Scase’s Meadow Monster should have an uncontested lead and may be enough to hold off an uninterested bunch
Race 5
10 Jack B Good 3-1 lightly raced High Yield filly gets blinks
2 Campaign Drive 8-1 Scace’s firster has to be better than this bunch
7 Mabel Syrup 15-1 nice price; decent form, cut back and turf to dirt a question
Race 6
1 Trainee 7-5 winner of the Sophmore Fillies and placed in the Suncoast last year here; loves the track; best bet
6 L’s Lightning 5-2 Horse for course, impressive morning tab
2 Bright Pyrite 6-1 OH st breds performing well here, this one will surprise at a nice price
Race 7
6 Mary Louhana 2-1 Two respectable G3 attempts since crossing the pond, in for Mdn 20 against the boys
2 Rue d’Argent 9-2 Cibelli’s Smart Strike has been close last 3 times, if the filly doesn’t fire, next logical
3 Mr. D 20-1 willing to toss the only start over an off track; gets 1st Lasix and blinks- value play
Race 8
4 Two Seater 4-1 gate to wire, baby
7 Thunderula 8-1 trip line reads like a police docket; if Ramgeet can get this guy a clean trip (lol) should factor
10 Al Lloyd 6-1 post is no bargain, but if the speed folds he’s got class enough to keep it interesting
Race 9
1 Pitchnicholas 5-2 Vic Scodius’ first entry of the meet looks bulletproof here
8 Famous Frolic 7-2 Well rested Charasmatic filly gets blinks
7 Loushe 8-1 Drop, draws Centeno
Race 10
9 Moving on the Wind 10-1 rattled off 3 in a row prior to an ill-fated trip in the H Steward Mitchell stakes last December. Working steadily in the mornings- gotta use; if he can return to form he’s a cinch at a price
2 Forrest Fever 7-2 Dale Bennett’s Forrestry gelding from a Deputy Minister mare (that hurts!) should romp here
4 Jet Prop 10-1 Javier Contreras scoring early this meet brings a very logical entry at a fair price
6 Islandprospectbob 6-1 If this were Remmington, he'd be a single. Only one uninspiring published work since arriving, and previous form here skeptical...still, I can't ignore current form and will use
8 Even Par 5-2 I’m going to use in the P4 as a cover but this is a huge bet against in my opinion and an almost certain underlay based on connections Centeno/Zwiesler
Race 11
Another wide open affair to close the P4…. 2yo Mdn 12.5k…eeesh
Using the only 5 horses that make any plausable sense in this race for cover in the last leg of the P4:
5 King Mongo 3-1
6 Follow Orders 9-2
7 Loveinthegulf 5-1
8 Alie’s Doublecross 8-1
9 Haley’s Sunshine 2-1
P4 Large Ticket:
4,7,8,10//1,8//2,4,6,8,9//5,6,7,8,9 4x2x5x5 = 200.00
Small ticket:
4,8//1,8//2,8//5,6,7,8,9 2x2x2x5 = 40.00
