I wish to apply for assistance.

There is a mare named Penpont (NZ) who has produced several good
performers by local California stallion Unusual Heat. The data I get
from BRIS regarding her and her family is incomplete. In particular,
Penpont, her dam Imposing Star, second dam Black Willow, third dam
Kathleigh, and fourth dam Russleigh are all listed as unraced in New
Zealand. Now a I have in my records that a filly named Black Willow,
with the same pedigree as Penpont's second dam, won the important
Manawatu Sires' Produce Stakes in 1974, which leads me to doubt the
unraced status of the rest of these mares, as well. Can anyone assist
me in getting the full story? The BRIS records tell me nothing about
Imposing Star's other produce - the NZ stud book shows me she had 7
other named foals, but nothing about their racing prowess.

Can't write a proper story without the full data, right? One thing I
like about the pedigree is that it includes Crested Wave (ex Crest of
the Wave) (USA), from the Fred Hooper breeding program. He wouldn't
have some sons at stud, would he? Another branch of Herod still
hanging on by the fingernails?
