Just to clarify.
I didnt say there was a $14M budget shortfall.
Based on NYRAs projections, not mine, they will make $362,000 for the year of 2008.
However, that includes the gain of a one time sale of part of the property at the Big A. Thus without the sale of the property, they would show a loss for 2008 of approx $14M from normal racing operations.

NYRA, if they are the surviving entity to run NY racing, or whomever might be, must make the best deal to promote NY racing and get the most financially.

They must also trim costs and or lower purses. IMO
