Mooney valley is my fav track ,great for spectators & stable staff alike ,
I think of it like the Nascar brickyard 500.
Its like a superbowl unfortunately if you are in the first 2 gates you either have to go forward at the begining which you dont want to be in a distance race or scrub it up & hang out the back & come around , which is possible in distance races but not for the 1200 or 1400, You can stay were you are but you have to hope there is a openining where you can move out & with the quality of jockeys i couldnt see this happening.
In the end its a great race & anyone can win it, i've never picked the winner in it
,but if it was my horse i wouldnt be excited about drawing barrier 1
