The case can be made that the schedules are pretty close to even but there is no way that anyone can say that OSU or BC's schedule is tougher than SF's. Maybe in a traditional sense but the fact is that the 'midmajor' type teams like Cincy and Rutgers are a lot better than their history suggests. The smaller teams have caught up and with spread offenses and scholarship reductions and the fact that almost every major conference game is televised means that kids can go to a mid major type and play and get exposure as opposed to the old days where they would rot on a big teams bench.

Sorry, but I respectfully, and emphatically disagree that Cincy, Louisville and Rutgers are scary.
OSU and BC play tougher schedules, espically down the stretch. The Big East gets credit for still being a tough conference, but I think they are the worst of the BIG Conferences. I wish Clemson was in the Big East! It would be much easier to play Syracuse, Cinci, Rutgers, UConn, etc. WVU is tough, and I give USF, and the coaching staff credit. They found a way to beat Rich Rodriguez, and Rich hasn't found a way to beat USF.
USF is not a top 10 team, just like Rutgers wasn't last year. They should be treated the same way a Boise St or Hawaii should...good, very good, but not great.
That said, I truely agree with the statement in bold! As I have said before in this thread, I love the parity in College Football now. Any good team can beat a very good team on any Saturday. It makes it more enjoyable. However, just because you play well for 2 important games, and beat up on inferior teams the rest of the season doesn't make you #2 in the nation. I hope USF goes undefeated. Then they will get blown out in a bowl game, and we will all bitch about how it was boring, and they didn't belong. Put the USF in the SEC this year, and they are middle of the pack. I would even go as far as to say they wouldn't win their division in the ACC. They are good, but not top 10 in my mind.
