These might have been "lesser" mares that were sent to try to make a more valuable baby than what the mare is worth. Usually this doesn't succeed. So, you can scoop up a smaller but very correct individual for much less than the fee.

Oh thx now I get it.. I Stallion like Came Home who has had an enormous amount of INDUSTRY behind him was bred to a less then ideal mare. The reason being is that the syndicate that owned him tossed a free breeeding session. OK so then they market the yearling in Book 69.. I am new around here thx again
