Buying a share of a horse the way we're doing it is the equivilent of going to dinner and a movie about 8 times... A family of 4 going to a professional sports event once... Or perhaps a couple making two trips to the casino or riverboat...

I'd venture to say that a share in a Dee Tee runner provides a lot more fun than either of those two pastimes... I'd also guess that the people you're suggesting buy-in think there is on-going expense involved in becoming a partner.
