I'll agree with him, except for a lil different reason. I've been ridiculed for the analogy before, so I'll use it again lol.
This game can be a like a good jump shooter in a shooting slump. The way they get out of those slumps? Keep shooting.
I suggest that for someone like you who knows what the hell they're doing (not for idiots that claim they do, and lose because they have no clue, because they'll just keep losing). Even when you're making educated bets with good info in front of you, we still lose a lot. But keep playing the hunches, and even when you're not hitting the broad-side of a barn, keep playing them. They'll eventually come around for you.
