The time was about a 1/5th of a second faster than the NY Bred race, but yeah, that horse would figure to improve with added ground.

Yeah, the time was actually a bit slower than I thought it was going to be, but I was still pretty impressed with his debut.
His sire did his best work at 9f so perhaps when you couple that with the way he moves, he would, as you suggest, relish additional distance.
