To be honest, I have never thought much of him as a sire (how much Nearctic inbreeding can the breed handle?) but his runners sure have done some nice things recently. For a stallion that stands for a fee ($20,000) that is less than half of somebody like Bluegrass Cat (a ridiculous $50,000), he might be a good value.
But then again....everybody is a good value compared with $50,000 for Bluegrass Cat.
langfuhr finished just outside the top ten last year as well on the top sires list. lane's end knows their stuff, with five of their studs within the top 11 or 12 earlier this year. i cheer him for obvious reasons! looks like he'll be in the top five when the list is updated.
and then check out the two unbridleds.....broken vow about ten times less the fee than unbridleds song, but one spot ahead on the list.
the amazing one on the list--storm cat has fallen from grace, #28 on the list! no doubt he'll move up come fall, with more two year olds hitting the track.
