In reading the book on Funny Cide that I got for Christmas, I was wondering about the handling by the owners vs. what Tagg would've wanted. Seemed like he told some owner to take their horse to Lukas if they wanted whatever it was done differently--they did and the horse went on to be a big winner I believe. Anyway, could Barclay just not bring himself to say "shove it" to Sackatoga 100% of the time he might've wanted to because he didn't wanna lose FC? Did he put his foot down only as much as he could without rubbing them the wrong way? I just thought it was a curious dichotomy with how he seemed to be with others prior to getting Funny Cide. The 'don't compromise me, I know how to train a horse and you need to let me do it or you can take your horse elsewhere' Barclay.
