"The Internet Show" was lost at one point when Tony got his "vacation", a month-long suspension over something idiotic that the ESPN suits got in a twist over. And "Phil the Show Killer" originated on The Mr. Tony Show... not on Dan Patrick's...
Anyone remember the Tony Show and these elements?
The hilarity of "Know Your Heads", a game show where callers had to identify three levels of ESPN anchors.. SportsCenter types.. then an ESPN2 type.. then an ESPNews type..
Rich Eisen telling the "Bea Arthur joke".. An Internet-only classic that will NEVER die...
The callers were unbelievable... "Smart and funny" was what Tony wanted..
Steve the Syncophant, from DC... "Tony my leige..."
Sheldon and his ridiculous Joke of the Day..
"Affirmation"... Only loyal listeners will know this reference... I called in with an "affirmation" story that pleased Tony to no end after Bob Haldeman, or John Ehrlichman, died..
The witness protection guy from Syracuse who supposedly was a janitor at the Post-Standard... the creator of the 'Castro Convertable' reference... (Itself a riff off an athlete that told Tony to hold on because 'someone was at the door delivering a couch...')
I'm likely just whistling in the dark here, but if any of you heard the show, you're laughing thinking about. The greatest free 3 hours evah....

OOOOOOOOO
The "Fantasy Head Draft" was the greatest concept in sports radio history. Mr. Tony over the dull, pompous Dan Patrick by open lengths.
