I have a job interview in Austin, Texas this week and wanted to get some input from folks here on the board that know the town. It's a great professional opportunity for me but I am a little worried about being a liberal, native Californian moving to the south... I hear Austin is not too conservative but it is in the great state of Texas (home of G. Bush)

Any opinions would be great, and if you do recommend it, what's a good place to live if I'm going to be working south of the river?
