Both Sabellina and Iron Goddess are listed 'in foal.' And I also read this as part of a bloodhorse article, which makes me like Sabellina even less..(in this race anyway). She may be among the best running, but it looks like a prep for her:
"Sabellina, the two-time champion New York-bred female turf horse, will run in foal to Pulpit. Trainer Joe Aquilino said he is using this race as a training tool for longer races.
"I expect her to run good," said Aquilino, who has Edgar Prado to ride. "We don't have to send her. Hopefully, there's a lot of pace, and she should make a nice closing run." "
