But they are chasing the fools gold of the NL west and instead of developing players for a strong run over the next few years, they play their hand like they are one piece away and sign a broke down pitcher for $14mill a year, and one of the worst players in the majors for $50mill and a 75 year old left fielder.

Cannon Shell: I'll try to hit the high spots! I think Colletti is Tons better that Depodesta...Pierre is a mediocre fielder who's lost a step,but haven't completely given up on him. Martin is a Stud ...for a long time to come hopefully. Everybody is stunned by Schmidts situation,I'm sure.(Dreifort comes to mind) Kent is probably done after this year,but can still provide ample power. Gonzo is not a bad addition considering his attitude and occasional power. This team needs to get mad or something! They start slow most of the time except when their pitchers are "ON". You can only win so many games in the 9th! I would like a manager like Leyland(or Guillen,fo realz)
