I was a strict vegetarian for several years, but for environmental, not moral, reasons. I like meat occasionally (it is tasty, after all), if it's humanely raised (factory farms are unbelievably cruel and as far as I'm concerned, if I'm spending money on factory farm meat, I'm endorsing animal cruelty. That's just me, though. They're also environmental disasters, while small farms are valuable habitat for lots of animals, including many threatened species- support your small family farms!). I'm glad for the time I spent as a strict vegetarian, though, because it kept me thin and kept me healthy and I learned to love veggies.

I tell ya, though, I take my hat off to vegans. That's serious dietary discipline. I think if I had to give up cheese and milk the sunshine would go out of my life.
Genuine,

Where can you find humanely raised meat? I'm thinking about becoming a vegetarian again, but my blood type (A negative) has a hard time doing the vegetarian thing without becoming anemic. I used to get sick and weak very easily (even eating the things I was supposed to.)
