Its cushion track at Hollywood, not poly track. and it is more forgiving to run on, and most likely does prevent some breakdowns. many trainers that run on it have given that opinion. Honu posts on here and rides horses on it all the time can give a first hand account about how it is kinder to horses.

does it eliminate all possibilty of a horse injuring itself while running? of course not but isn't that a ridiculous assumption in the first place.
No question...Dumb comment...just my own personal bias against poly/cushion/plastic/fake dirt what ever you want to call it track.
