what about heirs? without a will it still goes spouse, children, parents, siblings, etc. here in california probate. the order can be different state to state but the government is always the last at at the end of a very long line.
i know it's a crazy thought but i think the poster might have maybe just made up the part about a government agency burning down a house because it was wrecked by cats.
