They also can destroy a house. Here in eastern Pa. about 2 months ago people were complaining about a putred smell coming from this home. The home was owned by a elderly woman who was know to take in stray cats. So the authorities thought she might have about 20 cats. They got a court order to enter the house, to there astonishment they found over 100 stray cats having free range in the house and the woman was dead. The smell was so bad that the people who entered the house were wearing gas mask because there was so much ammonia gas from the cats pissing all over the place. These cats were not litter box train. They were also living in the walls and ceilings. They were so malnourished not being fed they were eating the carcasses of dead cats around the house. Most of these cats were put down because they were infested with parasites and diseases. They saved about a dozen kittens. The authorities didn't know what to do with this home so they decided to burn to the ground, because there was no way to salvage this home destroyed by these cats.
