I think folks like the challenge. To some, it's like the biggest stage for a handicapper, the proving ground for true prowess. Obviously, that's a little ridiculous, as luck is an even bigger part of this race than other races, but it's the allure of the huge event. It's why people are drawn to "guaranteed pool" multirace exotics. One can make just as much money, if not more, playing in pools that aren't "guaranteed," but it's the challenge of beating a larger amount of players.
