I honestly have never understood why people spend so much time capping this race for this sole reason -

With the field size being what it is, and the other "issues" that occur such as post position draw, traffic and troubled trips etc etc I feel that this is a race to draw back and not spend as much time and money on. I think a lot of people get the "Derby Fever" and just unload on this race when the money is dancing in the undercard. They unload their cash cause it is The Derby when they might stand a much, much better chance laying the wood to that
54,000AlwN2W next weekend.

I had this conversation yesterday with a seasoned veteran of the windows wars betin these animals, he said the 2 hardest days in racing for a capper are the The Derby and Breeders Cup.
