Just yesterday I had to remove a Smarty Jones foal that never existed (and apparently got special dispensation to violate the number of letters allowed by the JC ). I swear folks just like playing hypomating with that thing. His other named foals in the database had legit names in the registry fortunately. They do realize a lot of stud farms offer hypos to their stallions on their site right? Ugh. It's always fun when they have a 2009 baby listed or one with a hip number--idiots. I'll go pester one of the researchers to smoke over her stats. Maybe we'll find out if she's been barren, aborted, or what have you.

It is really stupid of them not to offer the hypothetical mating feature for free. All it does it encourage people to create fake horses on there to be able to look at a hypothetical mating. If they just made it free to do or even had an option where you could look at the pedigree before submitting it then I bet it would reduce the number of errors significantly.
