This should be a lesson to all in 2008.
If you have a candidate that is fiercely loyal and hires incompetent friends even at the "lowest" levels of government, it can lead to big problems. The problems mentioned above are big. FEMA was considered small and look at what happened there.
A question everyone must ask is how much does this candidate owe to friends that will be placed in important positions because of contributions or work within the campaign. Many of these people who are great in campaigns, are horrible administrators as we have found out.
The only guy that clearly does not like fund raising (but also sees it as a necessity) is McCain imo. And then you have to determine if his policies align with yours. This is really tough... making these types of assessments and decisions.
