Because, my God, they had one good season after a run of embarrassing (that word might not be harsh enough) excuses for baseball seasons. Then everyone is set to annoint them the saviors of Detroit and claim that baseball "is back" in Detroit.
Well see how "back" in Detroit it is when they don't even make the playoffs this year.

Um, in case last year was the first time you've watched Tigers baseball, let me make a comparison for you. It would be like Zippy Chippy coming out of retirement to win one race, and Pointgiven1985 saying "Zippy Chippy is back! I would say that he should be a major player in the Handicap division this year."
