The mare's name is "Canagua" . I don't know what it means other than possibly the town in Brazil, or "can of water"??żż Who knows? I purchased her from the trainer/owner as a private transaction, not a claim. Doesn't have much of a race record. Mostly running at Thistledown here in *lovely* NE Ohio(!!!, no, actually, parts of this area are lovely) From what I watched on Racereplays.com, she mostly broke well, then gave up. I just brought her home today. I let her buddy up to my Arab gelding in the pasture for a couple hours, now she's resting in the barn. I didn't want her to get too much grass, since she's not used to it. She's got a wonderful disposition and is very "girly" looking. I'll let her get used to turnout with my gelding before I introduce her to my other 2 mares. Geeez, I feel like a kid in a candy store!! I've had horses for 20 years and still get all excited by them!!!

Canagua raced a few times at Calder a couple summers ago. I am 99% sure of it. She was in the race with Rapid Flow.

Congratulations. Good luck with her.
