that theyre closing bay meadows after this year? im sad every single day going to hawthorne to see sportsmans park(right next door). i was holdin out hope it would be rebuilt to it was pre auto track days and a track where racing flourished including harness. that track going under was a huge huge blow to the industry here in illinois on both sides of it. it literally looks like a war zone these days ith graffiti all over the concrete, windows busted out etc etc etc. they just announced plans for the sportsmans property saying it willl be converted into shopping and other crap. as far as bay meadows goes they already have plans, so hopefully they will begin soon once racing ceases there so people there that love it wont have to be sadly reminded like me of a place they loved that went to shiat due to idiocy
