it's not a new fight. been going on for some time. go back to the time of the revolution, and immediately after. matter of fact, many of us may need to re-read everything this country has been thru, good and bad. as for iraq and it's woes--it wasn't all a bed of roses when we had our war for independence, and it didn't go swimmingly afterwards either--for years after, and then our civil war....hell, people down here still want to fight it, still accuse lincoln of being a war criminal, still say the south will rise again. hello, the south is doing just fine, welcome to the 21st century!!
our country has experienced colossal growing pains-but if it was easy, anyone could do it.
but we must continue to fight the good fight, our rights are worth that. it's what all those before us fought for, and we need to do the same for ourselves and future generations.
