I just watched this again and PTT could have easily had the lead if Cohen wanted it. As soon as he let Latent Heat go by, PTT pulled Cohen up to him as if to say, "I want the front, thats where I need to be and this guy isnt even going all that fast." Cohen tried to come along side Latent Heat and it may have cost him the race. That premature move along the far turn took enough of out PTT to force him to go wide at the top of the stretch. He was tired. When they straightened out he came again but the race was over, he was never getting by Latent Heat, who is a nice horse in his own right.
